A SHOT AT REDEMPTION
Wed, 08 Dec 2010 10:40 AM EST

On Thursday, December 9th, the Tennessee Titans will face off against the Indianapolis Colts in Tennessee. This is sure to be an interesting match-up, as each team is heading in fueled by at least 3 consecutive losses. The Colts stand with a 6-6 record in second place of the AFC South, and are continuing on a trying and short week. The Titans at 5-7 are tied for last place of the same division with the Houston Texans, and seem to be suffering from a cratered confidence. Whichever team can pull through on this one is due for an assurance boost. However, each team will have to fight hard to gain any ground on Thursday night. Tune in to the NFL Network to watch what is sure to be a grueling game. Odds.

The Colts are going into this game with a three game losing streak and not much energy. While the team usually has more time to rest between games, this is a short week for the Indianapolis players. Having already prepared three days for and played against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night, the Colts are diving into a day and a half of work to focus on all the weak spots in their game. As coach Jim Caldwell put it, “the big thing is that you just don’t get a chance to go out and focus in. Typically Mondays we go out and go through our corrections. We watch the (previous game) film. Get them straightened away, and then you get that behind you and move on to the next game.” The nation will have to wait and see if the NFL’s 5th ranked offense and 18th ranked defense can come together to take this game for a bit of redemption. Scores.

The Titans’ discouraging game against the Jacksonville Jaguars has coach Jeff Fisher wondering whether his team is giving up. The team is currently on a dismal 5 game losing streak. They 24th ranked defense is worn and tired. The offense is even worse of, having 112.6 yards rushing and 179.0 yards in passing. Though this team is giving it their all, their strongest efforts have not gotten them far. Let’s hope they reveal some hidden strength in their game against the Colts.
