Quarterback Andrew Luck is willing to learn from Peyton Manning. He just desires everybody to know he is prepared to play next season, as well. NFL lines

The Stanford QB claimed he may match as Manning’s colleague although his choice would be to play immediately.

“I consider each competitor needs to play, each down, every play,” Luck claimed when asked about starting as an NFL rookie. “So, naturally, who wouldn’t want to start out?”

Luck spent less than 24 hours in Indianapolis, moving thru a battery of physical tests and learning the intricacies of nutrition.

His next trip to the city, for the yearly scouting combine, might decide whether Luck turn into an abiding fixture.

Colts owner Jim Irsay has already said he plans to take Manning’s inheritor with the No. One all round pick in April’s draft, and it looks like a two-man race between Luck and Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III.

Yet, there are huge questions bordering the Colts. NFL betting lines

Indy has started on a major reconstructing venture with Ryan Grigson, a first-time GM and Chuck Pagano, a first-time coach.

There are rather more worries about Manning, who missed the 2011 season after having his third neck surgery Sept. 8 the 4-time league MVP has continued throwing and has gradually increased his workout program.

Irsay, who said that he intends to meet with Manning the week after next, said he will wait until this month to decide maybe to pay its franchise quarterback a $28 million roster bonus by March 8, re-establish the contract or chance losing him in free agency.

If Indy keeps Manning and considers Luck, it would be the 1st real quarterback debate since the pre-Manning days.

Manning’s dad, Archie, created a buzz late last year when he told a radio show he did not think the 2 may be squad. He later declared what he considered was that Luck and Peyton Manning both were sufficiently good to start out in 2012.
Luck comprehends.

“I think to have an opportunity to play with a fellow like Peyton Manning may be fantastic,” he announced.

The rebuilding Colts are hoping to duplicate the style that made Manning a star.

They opened the ‘98 season with a new coach, a new General Manager, a new QB and Bruce Arians as quarterbacks coach. After changing coaches and GMs, the Colts employed Arians as their new offensive coordinator.

Manning and Luck are both 2nd-generation quarterbacks who came second in the Heisman balloting and were regarded as the best QBs in their draft class.

The Lucks and Mannings have family ties, too. Andrew’s dad, Oliver, and Manning’s father were teammates in Houston for two seasons in the 1980s, and Luck has been both a student and an advisor at the Mannings ‘ summer quarterback camp in Louisiana.

In fact, when Luck made a decision to return to college for his junior season instead of turning pro, Peyton Manning was one of the people Luck called.

“It was additional asking for advice on how he handled specific situations. I had already made the choice,” Luck announced. “He discussed, one; it is not going to get any easier. Quite the reverse, groups are going to be actually gunning for you and don’t expect it to be a cakewalk and simple all the time. Then, two, just how to deal with certain circumstances maybe with the media or specific circumstances that rise up.”

Now the Colts must decide whether to release Manning and start again, keep Manning and produce the draft pick wait or let Manning and his clear heir battle for the starting job.
