It was a close game between the Chicago Bears and the New York Jets, but in the end, the Bears were the victors. These are two teams with shrewd defense, and that are high up in their respective divisions. Still, it was Chicago’s dare to go vertical that won the game for them. Strangely enough, the Jets still made it into the playoffs despite this loss. When the Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the Washington Redskins 20-17 in OT, the Jets automatically became a wild card team. With this game having been so close, and since they have both made it to the postseason, it will be intriguing to see what the result will be if they meet again in the playoffs. The Bears knew they were in for a hard-fought game, and as such, came prepared. Luckily the team had all of its keys players available going into this one. QB Jay Cutler managed 13 of 25 for 215 yards, while RB Matt Forte had 19 carries for 113 yards, a TD and four catches for 56 yards. One of the more important players on this match-up was Chris Harris, who made the game winning interception of Mark Sanchez, recovered Antonio Holmes’ fumble and finished with 11 tackles. Furthermore, they gave up 50% on third downs and allowed 100-yards rushing against them for the fifth straight time. However, the team finished held the lead for the last minutes of the game, and will stand confidently against the Green Bay Packers in their last game.

Mark Sanchez was still weak from his shoulder injury, the receivers were dropping passes and the Jets failed to make any big gains.
