The Bengals have been playing well this year. They delivered a solid performance over the weekend against the Carolina Panthers. They passed well, ran the ball quickly and all aspects of their game were on point. It all came to a close at 20-7. Conversely, the Panthers have done quite poorly this year, turning out loss after loss. While they haven’t had a lucky run of things yet, their players are still looking good. So there is a bit hope for the future. However, they were totally dominated by the Bengals this weekend. With not much of a chance that they were going to beat them, the Bengals rolled to another victory. Vegas odds.
The Panthers problems stemmed from a meager performance from QB Jimmy Clausen. He largely failed to come through for his team, as he was completely out matched against the Bengals. Clausen led Carolina on an eight-play, 75-yard drive capped by Stewart’s 1-yard TD run to cut the deficit to 10-7. But that was all they got. The Bengals stepped up the defensive and shut the Panthers down after that. Betting lines.
Though the Bengals had a decent game, they still could have done better. Palmer was 19 of 37 for 195 yards, while Ochocinco and Owens combined for eight catches and 76 yards. Palmer shook off two interceptions to throw a clinching touchdown pass to Cedric Benson midway through the fourth quarter, allowing Cincinnati to take the game. Sports scores.
All in all, it was a weak performance for both teams. The Bengals took the game by completing their passes, and playing a bit more of an organized game than the Panthers. The rest of the season is shaping up for the Bengals, but they still have some work to do if they want to keep winning. On the other hand, the Carolina Panthers have a long way to go if they want to recover from their disastrous start. Be sure and follow the rest of the season at www.scoresandodds.com.
