BLUE JAYS SEND ANGELS PACKING
Mon, 16 Aug 2010 06:49 PM EDT

The Toronto Blue Jays came through in a big game on Sunday. The team with the most home runs in the nation looked strong on the field as they slammed LA for a win.  It was a solid performance by hitters and batters alike, as the whole team played well. After nine innings, the score was set at 4-1. Vegas odds.

Ricky Romero is a great pitcher, and the Jays will be able to count on him for five more years. He was signed to a contract extension, and will be doing his thing for the next half a decade with Toronto. He played a great game on Sunday, pitching a few absolutely brilliant innings. He really kept the Angels in check with a wide mix up of pitches. The pitcher allowed six hits and struck out four, with the only run coming from Mike Napoli’s fifth-inning homer. Backing up Romero’s swift and skillful performance, Jason Frasor pitched a scoreless eighth and Kevin Gregg took his 27th save in 31 chances. Betting lines.

The Blue Jays have some of the best hitters around, and they always deliver great results. Sunday was no different. Playing the Western Division’s second place team, they completely overpowered the pitching crew. Dan Haren just couldn’t keep the ball in the strike zone against this shrewd team. He gave up four runs and nine hits over seven innings, and struck out five in his fifth start with Angels. Sports scores.

The Blue Jays have had a great season so far. Though they are not the toughest team in the nation, they do put up a challenging fight. With the amount of explosive power they pack in behind the plate, no one should underestimate this team. However, as seen with Ricky Romero, they are not a one-trick pony when it comes to playing on the offensive. What other tricks do the Jays have up their sleeve?
