BRAD KESELOWSKI PULLS OUT A WIN AT POCONO
Mon, 08 Aug 2011 05:46 PM EDT

Brad Keselowski had been expired by one of his relatives who is a Navy Seal and with that he managed to push through his very painful knee injury. Keselowski’s cousin had lost a friend who was one of the 30 American service members who had died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan after it was shot down. The NASCAR race driver took that sacrifice to his heart and had vowed that he would not leave his car no matter how bad his knee hurt. This is how he found the courage and the strength to go out there and race the full 500 miles of the Sprint Cup stop at Pocono Raceway with a broken left ankle. Now if that wasn’t enough he also managed to pull out a win. NFL lines

He was competing with a brace on his ankle as he sped off on the final restart late in the race in order to pickup the second win of the season. He was seen climbing out of his car rather gingerly in order to celebrate the win with his crew in Victory Lane. He dedicated the win to one of that thrust him into the Chase contention and to the troops serving in Afghanistan. NFL betting lines

Keselowski said “I might not be feeling great, but those are the guys that are really making sacrifices,” “Whenever I got in the car and felt like, man, this really hurts, it was good inspiration as to what it takes to ‘man up’ and make it happen.”

Keselowski was certainly not the favorite to win the race after he had crashed head on to a wall back on Wednesday in a test session at Road Atlanta. He slammed into a section of wall at 100 mph and was forced out of the Nationwide Series race. But he had insisted during practice that he will not leave his Dodge no matter how much his body hurts. The third place finisher Kurt Bush said “I was amazed he raced the full race,”

After the race he said while speaking to reporters and fans “I came here to win,” “When you let the pain get into your head that far that you don’t believe you can win anymore, you can’t win the race.”
