The Milwaukee Brewers managed to take a great game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday. They have been playing great baseball lately. They won with a combination of solid pitching and diligent focus from the plate. The game ended 3-2 after nine innings. Baseball Scores

Milwaukee has staying power. They pitched well to a hard-hitting team, took a lead and ran with it. Dave Bush was great on the mound. Even when Pujols nailed a homer, he kept his composure. He took the bite out of the rest of the Cardinals, a team that has been extremely potent at the plate lately.

Despite difficulties that the Brewers have faced lately, they are playing great baseball. They currently are placed third in the NL-Central, one of the toughest divisions in the league at the moment. They have seen some great games this year, and have been able to get all their players some serious game time.

The Cardinals are ranked one spot above the Brewers, and second in the NL-Central. They have been trading first place with the Reds all season long. They currently trail by two games, and if they want the lead back, they will have to turn the intensity up. Baseball Lines

The only Cardinals hitter who has remained constant is Albert Pujols. With the home run on Tuesday, he passed up Joe Carter for 50th on the career list, and is now one behind Dale Murphy. The rest of the season will be rushed for this team, but they need to get back in the lead if they want a shot at the Division Playoffs. Though the Brewers will most likely not make it there, they have delivered strong and consistent results all year long.
