The Tampa Bay Buccaneers proved a shrewd threat in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. While the stunning surprise was a case of too little too late, the team will certainly due some damage come next season. After no more than a mediocre season, they were able to beat the defending champions on their own field and finish the year with more than double the amount of wins from 2009. Even though the Bus routed the Saints 23-13, New Orleans is still headed for the playoffs. However, given the injuries and momentum accumulated up until this point, it will be interesting to see how they fare in the postseason. Either way, this regular season finale came to an end with a Tame Bay victory. Football lines.

The Bucs would have made it to the playoffs had the Bears lost to the Packers. Unfortunately, Green Bay ended up routing Chicago 10-3, permitting the Packers to clinch the last NFC spot and eliminate Tampa’s chance postseason progression. Still, the team went out with a bang. QB Josh Freeman went 21 of 26 for 255 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also rushed four to net 11 yards and lead his team to a final win. LeGarrette Blount finished his rookie year with 19 carries for 66 yards and two catches for 2 yards. NFL spreads. The RB also became only the second undrafted rookie in he league’s history to surpass 1,000 rushing yards in the first season. In a determined and combined effort, Tampa Bay brought the year to a close with seven-win improvement from last year’s 3-13 record. With players that according to coach Raheem Morris, “play fast, hard, consistent and for each other,” the Buccaneers walked off the field with heads held high. Vegas odds.

The Saints knew that they had already punched their postseason ticket, and acted accordingly. With a handful of injured players and no first round bye, New Orleans did the smart thing and took it easy in this game. Hopefully, they will get Marques Colston [right knee] and Pierre Thomas [left ankle] back next week as a result. Now fifth seed and with a large downs list, the Saints are treading into the playoffs on shaky grounds. See how far they make it at, your source for the best online betting information around.
