The Milwaukee Bucks took on the Dallas Mavericks last night in Texas and brought an end to the Mavs 12 game winning streak. A lot of that had to do with Brandon Jennings, who was determined to take down one of the NBA’s best teams this year for a strong road win. Dallas simply let it slip. They had the game in their hands and then let the Bucks back in. Seizing the opportunity, Milwaukee stepped in to take what ended up being a very close game. By the end, the Bucks added another “w” to their record with a 103-99 win after regulation time. Basketball scores.

Standing confidently with a respectable 10-3 record, this team currently occupies third place of the Central Division. The Bucks trailed close behind all throughout the first half, and then brought the heat when the second half came around. That is when they really started attacking the basket and bringing their all to the court. In the words of coach Scott Skiles, “it would have been easy to hang our heads and figure, ‘They’re a great club.’ We battled back and were trying to get it to single digits by halftime. We came out in the third quarter with some nice juice.” The juice came in the form of Brandon Jennings [23 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists], Andrew Bogut [21 points, 14 rebounds and 2 blocks], Tyson Chandler [11 points, 9 rebounds and 1 block] and Keyton Dooling [16 points 2 rebounds and 4 assists]. It was Jennings’ first double-double in the last five games. Together, this team rallied from a 20-point deficit in the second quarter to a 103-99 win over the 19-5 Dallas team. Basketball odds.

Perhaps it was the 12 straight wins that gave the Mavs too much confidence for their own good. For the team that hadn’t lost since November 19th, they sure let this one go easily. Maybe if they would have paid attention to the shaky game on Saturday against Utah, then the Dallas team could have saved itself. According to coach Rick Carlisle, “This kind of slippage we’ve seen all too often. I’ve got to coach harder, the players have got to be more conscientious, we’ve got to do better than we did tonight.” Perhaps that will be the case in their next game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
