The Chicago Bears traveled to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Vikings at the TCF Bank Stadium. What resulted was an exciting and triumphant game that showed the true determination of the Chicago Bears. Since the Metrodome’s roof caved in as a result of snowfall, the game was moved to the University of Minnesota, a stadium without the comforting internal warming coils that the Metrodome sported. Despite the cold and snow, the Bears made do. After a short and surprising performance from Vikings QB Brett Farve, Chicago took the game 40-14 after regulation time. Odds.

The Bears, who have not won the division title since 2006, stand in a promising position with a 10-4 record going in to the playoffs. The team currently occupies first place of the NFC North, and two games ahead of the second place Green Bay Packers. An amazing roster of players is what won the game with the highest point production of the year for Chicago. Devin Hester set the NFL record for career returns for a score at 14, and also caught a 15-yard TD pass from QB Jay Cutler. Matt Forte moved the ball 17 times for 92 yards on Monday. Scores.

The RB also led the team in rushing by averaging 5.4 yards per carry. Cutler went 14 of 24 passes for 194 yards and three TDs, and stayed strong throughout the game despite getting ruffed up and chin split by Antoine Winfield. While the Bears displayed their fifth defense start in six games, winning the division title, overcoming the field conditions and the large number of points is what everyone focused on in the end. Las Vegas odds.

The Vikings fell to 5-9 with this loss, and suffered an embarrassing defeat at home in from on many respected alumni. Being the franchise’s 50th anniversary, many people came to see the NFC showdown. Although the game started off with a pleasantly surprising appearance of Farve [shoulder injury], who managed only 5 of 7 for 63 before leaving the field with a concussion, it all came to an end with an embarrassing loss.
