COLTS COME BACK
Wed, 15 Dec 2010 04:49 PM EST

The Indianapolis Colts took on the Tennessee Titans yesterday in Nashville, and broke out of their rut in the process. Peyton Manning is back to top form, leading his team to victory with two touchdowns and no interceptions. It was a good night for the Colts. Not only did the Colts get back on track, but both team attained a bit of confidence as a result of their plays as well. Still, Indianapolis beat Tennessee for the fourth consecutive time in the end. It all came to a close at 30-28 after regulations time. Odds.

The Colts turned their losing streak around just in time. Had they lost any more than the three games they did, chances for the playoffs would have been dismal. Nevertheless, a sliver of hope remains after this match-up. Currently standing with a 7-6 record in second place of the anodyne AFC South, Indianapolis is only a half game behind the first place Jacksonville Jaguars. Even with numerous injuries, this team brought their old vigor back to the field. Manning came through with 25 of 35 for 319 yards, 2 touchdowns and his 63rd 300-yard game. He is now tied with Dan Marino for tops of the career list. Scores.

Most importantly, he wasn’t intercepted! Player of the game in rushing Javarris James carried the ball 17 times for 48 yards and career highs, as well as his sixth touchdown in nine games. To make things sweeter, Reggie Wayne topped 100 yards again and was targeted seven times by Manning. With all the individual and combined efforts of this team, it’s no wonder they won the game. While it was against one of the weaker teams in the league, the Colts really did shine through in this one. Las Vegas odds.

The Titans fell to six straight losses and a 5-8 record. They did manage 28, but it was the first time the team had a TD over the last 14 quarters. The tackling was discouraging, the defense failed to contain the Colts and good secondary was a hard to find. Perhaps they will break their losing streak and move from the bottom of the AFC South in their next game against the Houston Texans on December 19th.
