The Philadelphia Eagles are set to face off against the New York Giants in what is sure to be an exciting game. While the New Yorkers have bounced back from their last loss against the Eagles, winning their three following games against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings, they have a tendency of losing to Philadelphia. More specifically, they have lost in the last five meetings the two teams have had. With both teams standing at the top the NFC East, this game will more or less decide which of these teams will take the division title this year. That being said, it is sure to a gut-wrenching game. The Eagles are coming in off of a two game winning streak, and stand steady with a 9-4. Aside from the fact that Philadelphia tends to gut the Giants, the teams stands in a good spot to win this from a statistical standpoint. The Eagles boast the leagues number one offense, averaging 402.8 YPG, as well as the on the NFC’s best rushing teams, with 146.1 YPG. Furthermore, the Eagles managed a number of impressive feats last month including LeSean McCoy’s career-high 149 yards last week, averaging 143.0 yards over three games and limiting N.Y. to a season-low 61 rushing yards. Still, the team will be playing without LB Stewart Bradley, CB Jorrick Calvin, CB Asante Samuel and TE Clay Harbor. It will be interestin to see if star QB Michael Vick and this upper-tier team will be able to beat the Giants for the sixth time in a row since 1981. NFL spreads.

The Giants seem to have found their footing, and also stand with a 9-4 in second place of the NFC East. Despite New York’s NFL’s fourth best offense with 385.4 YPG and impressive rushing game of 148.1, this team has produced mixed results this season. To make matters worse, the Giants are likely to be without R Steve Smith, Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck, as they are all questionable for week 15.
