The Clippers seem to have a tendency of beating the hottest teams in the NBA when they are at their best. To prove this, they followed suit with a close win the over two-time defended champions: the Los Angeles Lakers. The lead switched back and forth between the two teams until the end of the game when a confrontation followed by four ejections brought it all to a heated close. The Lakers pushed hard down to the last second, but in the end, the Clippers stopped their winning streak at seven with a 99-92 win over their inter-city rivals. Odds.

The win marked the Clipper’s fourth win out of fives games, the last one being a 111-105 win over the Miami Heat. The Lakers kept pace, but after a 16-3 run by the Clippers in the third, the defending champs lost their chance. Player of the game Blake Griffin added 18 points and 15 rebounds for his 26th double-double this season. Eric Gordon contributed a game-high 30 points and 6 assists, while Baron Davis had 14 points and 8 assist to put the Clippers ahead. It was Randy Foye’s free throw that set up the attention-grabber of the game. On that play, Griffin slammed forcefully into Lamar Odum’s back to get into position for a possible rebound. Las Vegas odds.

Seconds after, Odum had hold of Griffin’s jersey and was verbally expressing his ill feelings of the move. Although Griffin walked away head-down, Davis shoved Odum in the chest, reigniting the situation and drawing a cirle of both teams under the basket. No further physical contact was made, but Odum, Griffin, Davis and Ron Artest were ejected. It was a lot of action for 5.7 seconds left in the game. Scores.

The Lakers were limited, and therefore lost the game. Kobe Bryant gave 27 points and nine rebounds to help his team keep up, but the Clippers took it in the end to stop what would have been the team’s second 8-game winning streak this season. Despite the loss, the Lakers remain one of the NBA’s best teams with a 30-12 record. For the latest lines and best online betting information, look no further than
