JACKSONVILLE WAITS ON OAKLAND
Wed, 15 Dec 2010 04:47 PM EST

The Oakland Raiders will visit the Jacksonville Jaguars at the EverBank Field in Florida on Sunday. With the No.2 and No.3 rushing attacks in the NFL and traded players with mixed emotions on hand, this is sure to be one of those fast and heated match-ups. Boasting the home team advantage and better stats, the Jags look a little more set coming into this game. However, the Raiders have caused quite a commotion in the AFC West with their astute running game. In the end, the fact remains that the Jags crushed the Raiders 49-11 last time they visited FL, handing them their worst regular-season loss since 1961. A thirst for vengeance in plain and clear in this game, so be sure to tune in to CBS-HD (Regional) at 1:00PM ET and see what happens. NFL scores.

Standing with a 6-6 record, the Raiders are just two games behind the Kansas City Chiefs in second place of the AFC West. The Raiders possess the lethal duo of RB Darren McFadden and QB Michael Bush. Together they have 16 carries of 20-plus yards, which is second in the league to only Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs. The team also has the ever impressive interior lineman, Tommy Kelly, to make room for the linebackers to dart through. After all, Oakland is shrewd when it comes to sacking QBs, but they need to stop the run more often. NFL spreads.

To add fuel to the fire, players Quentin Groves, Khalif Barnes and John Henderson are all Jacksonville castoffs that found their way to Oakland’s roster. That being said, they just might have a bone to pick with their old team. The Raiders best bet will be to get establish the run and gain an advantage early in the game. NFL lines.

The Jags sit on a 7-5 record and the top of the AFC South. This team has jumped from last place in its division to the top in just five weeks. A lot of that has to do with RB Maurice Jones-Drew [5 straight games of 100 yards of more], fearless blockers, and QB David Garrard. Hopefully the QB will be in top form, as he had been far from consistent this season. Still, Jacksonville leads this series 3-1 this year, and has won the last three. It will certainly be interesting to see who takes this match-up, moving one game close to the playoffs. Follow it all at www.scoresandodds.com.
