New York Mets were down to their bottom strike while facing Mariano Rivera and they just couldn’t cut it. When Jason Bay came in he lined up a game winning single run in the tenth inning while everyone witnessed Jose Reyes dancing around in the clubhouse. This was probably the best day in the tournaments for the Mets as they took over the Yankees. Even Ronny Paulino got a single off Rivera and Bay got the winning run as the Mets put an end to New York Yankees’ seven straight game winning streak with a close 3-2 win.

Reyes said about the mood in the locker room “I was jumping right here. I was watching right here,” “That’s a huge win for us.”

The Mets were playing without their shortstop and were partially shut down in the seventh innings by Freddy Garcia prior to rallying against Rivera around the 9th inning in order to avoid a Subway series sweep at the Citi Field. With no outs and almost no one around on the ninth Bay took a walk around for a full count. He then went on third to Lucas Duda’s single and then scored the trying run when Paulino threw a 1-2 pitch from the right side. Baseball scores

Paulino said “I was just trying to put the ball in play,” “Shorten my swing and get a good pitch to hit.”

Bay said “It’s the highest high and the lowest low, probably for the fans, too. But it’s twice as bad in the dugout,” “That game, there was a lot going on.” Baseball betting lines

The pinch hitter for the team Scott Hairston then drew off the lead from Luis Ayala around the 10th as the Mets loaded their bases when Pena managed to boot Daniel Murphy slow grounder with two outs. Then came Hector Noesi entered in order to face Bay who then lined to a 0-1 pitch into the center for a single. Hariston then raised his fist and he then crossed over to Bay and stuck in with a two year slump since he singed a $66 million contract with the Mets.

After the win Bay said “I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs. A lot more downs,” “It was nice, A, to be in that spot and, B, to come through. It was great.” NFL betting lines
