The Toronto Blue Jays have been great this year. Yielding some of the best offensive stats around, they have played their way to a solid record. As such, they will walk off the field in a few days with their heads held high. They took a stunning game against the New York Yankees, demonstrating just how much power they really have on the field. The game ended 8-4 after nine innings of spectacular play. Baseball scores.

As team manager Cito Gaston will be bowing out, his boys felt compelled to win the game for him. They certainly had a commendable performance on the field, delivering quality play after quality play. At the plate, they made their stand, and walked off the field the victors. Aaron Hill hit a three-run homer, after which John Buck and Travis Snider added solo drives to the mix. The Jays simply decimated the Yankees. Basketball scores.

The Jays have proved powerful at the plate, giving awesome performances all year long. During this game, they managed to keep the struggling Yankees under control. The Yankees, who have lost six of eight, remain a half-game behind Tampa Bay in the AL East race. The Rays lost 2-0 to Baltimore. If the Yanks don’t start winning they will fail to win the AL-East title. It would be a shame, as they have been in charge of the division all year long, but, things have a way of happening like that. NFL scores.

With the Yankees moving on to the postseason, the Jays had this as a playoff game, and they took to it with gusto. Toronto leads baseball with 247 home runs, the fifth-highest season total in major league history. Hill drove in four runs as the Blue Jays won for the sixth time in seven games.
