JAYS’ VICTORIOUS CLOSE
Tue, 05 Oct 2010 11:30 AM EDT

The Toronto Blue Jays have been great this year, delivering some truly impressive games. They have been destructive all year, their power at the plate carrying them through quite a few difficult games. They played their final game of the season against the Minnesota Twins, division champions, and took a solid win. It was the perfect way to end things for the Blue Jays. The game ended 2-1 after nine innings of exciting play. Basketball lines.

The Jays simply outmaneuvered the Twins. They pitched sharper, batted stronger, and in general, they just looked better on the field. All game long they were dominant, in the end giving a stunning final performance for their fans. It all came down to their presence at the plate, where they overpowered the Twins and took the game. Edwin Encarnacion and Adam Lind each hit solo homers to further increase the team’s total. Leading the majors in homers, they have been destructive all season long regardless of the opponent. Basketball betting lines.

The Twins made it through to the post season with some impressive baseball of their own, edging out all the competition on sheer skill alone. This team has continuously been doing well. After a few ups and downs they came back strong. While the loss on Sunday doesn’t affect their end goal, it did allow the Jays to walk off with their heads held high. Baseball odds.

The Twins will open the playoffs against the New York Yankees. The Minnesota team currently holds a 2-9 record against New York in the postseason, losing the division series in 2003, 2004 and 2009. If they expect to beat the Yankees this year, they will need to play without flaw, and deliver even better baseball than they already have this year.
