NASCAR, is there anything more American? This is a sport that was born of a nation hungry for big powerful vehicles, a sport that captivates millions, one of the most exciting things to hit the world stage.  The 400 race proved to be quite interesting, here is a recap of the event. Vegas odds.

Chicagoland Speedway proved to upset the supposed order of things, with some surprising winners. Even more surprising were the drivers who lost. David Reutimann claimed 1st place against all odds, outrunning some of the biggest names in the sport. Runner up was Carl Edwards.

On the inverse side of the chart were the losers. This will come to a shock for many, but amongst the worst performing drivers were Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch. They were surely carrying the hopes of many in this race. One of the most surprising and unfortunate things that happened was that Jimmie Johnson had a couple of bad breaks, which cost him a shot at another victory. Betting lines.

Oh well, the races go on, and the future looks bright for these guys. Victory was just not in the cards for them at the Chicagoland Speedway. Reutimann outran Jeff Gordon, a global phenomenon and superstar driver to claim victory.

He proves with this performance that he can come off a bad stretch and drive home the win.  An added bonus for Reutimann was that he achieved a contract extension with Michael Waltrip Racing. Expect to see more from this guy.

Edwards finished second in his best run of the season, and Jeff Gordon claimed his Fifth straight top-five finish, showing that he has what it takes to be a champion, he just needs to get a bit more aggressive and win. Sports scores.
