Life grants baseball players some pretty unexpected things,  and the victory that the Mariners posted over the Texas Rangers on Sunday was most definitely one of them. Leading the AL-West all season, the Rangers have been virtually unstoppable. However, in an uncharacteristic performance, the Seattle Mariners managed to completely trump the powerful team. The game ended in an anti-climactic 2-1 after nine innings.  Baseball spreads.

The Rangers simply failed to chase down the elusive pitching that the Mariners put out on Sunday. This is a team that has lost repeatedly all season long, and has a very bad record against strong teams like the Rangers. However, there was one man that stood against the Texans dominating ways. Doug Fister led his team to victory with superb pitching. Baseball lines.

He has proved vital throughout this season for the Mariners, even though he was recently injured. The pitcher has posted many impressive stats for his team thus far. He pitched seven solid innings. Eclipsing the legendary Tommy Hunter, he helped the Seattle Mariners beat the AL West leaders 2-1 for his first win since August 9th. The Mariners’ sluggish offensive managed to rise to the occasion, and score two runs to seal the game. This game certainly reinforces the old saying – don’t quit five minutes before the miracle happens. Baseball betting lines.

Though Tommy Hunter proved impeccable at the mound, his team wasn’t able to keep up with Fister. The normally explosive offensive lineup struggled on Sunday, but they have not ruined their plans for the postseason. The Mariners are not going to make it. Texas, however, has a nine game lead over the Athletics, and is looking strong for the rest of the year. It has been a record-breaking year for Texas. They want to keep it going as long as possible.
