The Minnesota Timberwolves lost again at home. This time it was against the Memphis Grizzlies. However, there could be attenuating circumstances, as Zach Randolph was amazing on the court. The Grizzlies were coming after a terrible defeat in Denver, and with Kevin Love on top of his form, it looked like it was going to be a tough nut to crack. Basketball scores.

However, against all odds, Memphis started the game pretty well. They dominated the first quarter and managed to get a healthy lead. The score after the first quarter was Randolph managed 8 points and it was the start of a very good performance. Some might say it was a slap for those that did not select him for the All Star game.

“He’s taken it personally,” Mike Conley stated. “I think my man deserves to be an All-Star also. He really played like one tonight.” Conley also had a very good game, he scored 22 points and had 9 assists.

Everybody had a sour taste in their mouth after last night’s loss in Denver,” Mike Conley added. “We just wanted to come in here and handle business.” Basketball odds.

The second quarter turned out to be almost as poor as the first for Minnesota. They did manage to score more points, but so did the Grizzlies. The Timberwolves were always one step behind and it didn’t look like they could do something about it. Well, at least not in the first half anyway. The score at half time was Memphis 54, Minnesota 42.

“It was very important for our confidence, for our egos,” Conley stated. “I don’t think we played with any rhythm, any swagger in the first game. Tonight I thought we made a statement.”

An interesting fact of the match was Kevin Love’s 44th consecutive double-double. With this one, he managed to reach Moses Malone’s record for Philadelphia. There were some questions whether he could actually pull it off, but he managed his 10th rebound with just around 3 minutes left on the clock. Basketball spreads.

Minnesota upped their game in the third quarter and managed to reduce their deficit. Their defensive play was a bit better and they managed to outscore the Grizzlies by 4 points. However, there was no stopping the Grizzlies and they managed to contain their opponents in the fourth quarter. They never lost the lead again and managed to win the game, 104-95.
