The Minnesota Vikings have endured too much this season to go down without a fight. So when they took on the Philadelphia Eagles last night, the team played as if everything was at stake.  The outstanding effort yielded a victory for the team that has had its last three games postponed due to weather issues. This time the issues were not of their stadium, as it was the Lincoln Financial Field instead that filled up with snow from an unexpected blizzard. While the Vikings ate philly cheesesteaks and acted like tourist for a couple of days, it had no effect on their game yesterday. Minnesota took the Tuesday night game 24-14 after regulation time. Vegas odds.

With the way the Vikings were playing, you would have guessed they were aiming for a playoff berth. However, this game was all about pride, as the team’s 6-9 record fell short for postseason qualifications this year. Nevertheless, Minnesota showed the perseverance that has become custom of them over the last few weeks. Fill QB Joe Webb finished his first career start with 17 of 26 for 195 yards and ran for a TD. Adrian Peterson returned to the field and showed no sign of the injured shoulder that had his listed as questionable when running for 118 yards and the score that won the game. Overall, Minnesota won this one with an explosive offense, and a defense to match. After a year riddled with injuries, an ongoing Farve saga and the firing of coach Brad Childress, it looks like the Vikings will end the year on a good note. Betting lines.

The Eagles simply fell short on this one. It was certainly surprising and disappointing to see to see them lose against a team playing the string and a rookie QB. Vick fumbled twice, threw an INT and was sacked six times. His quad contusion definitely dampened their chances, but the truth of the matter is that Philadelphia was terrible in every phase of the game. This team might already be in the postseason, but they are going to have to be careful not to underestimate certain teams.
