L.A Lakers center Andrew Bynum might not have tried any more 3-pointers after being benched last week, but his team’s disciplinary actions against him didn’t end there. Baseball spreads

Bynum latterly got charged an undisclosed amount for “numerous infractions,” multiple sources confirmed. One of the acts that assured the fine from the team was Bynum blowing off a meeting with Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak.

Bynum said that he was unaware of the fine before getting into his vehicle outside of the Lakers’ practice facility and driving away after the team’s shootaround in adaptation for its game against the New Jersey Nets.

Bynum did tell the internet site, though; he would not play after experiencing a moderate sprain of his left ankle in the 1st quarter of a game against the Golden State Warriors. Baseball lines

Lakers coach Mike Brown admitted before the game that Bynum was out and Josh McRoberts might “most probably” think Bynum’s spot in the starting lineup at power forward, shifting Pau Gasol to center.

Brown denied revealing more details concerning Bynum’s fresh behavior.

“We dealt with it internally as franchise and now we move on,” Brown said.

Brown said it was not unusual for the Spurs, even with their championship achievement, to fine players when he was an assistant coach for San Antonio. Brown generally tried to downplay the problem.

Bynum’s sprain did not require an MRI on Monday and X-rays on Bynum’s ankle were negative, but Bynum did not participate in the Lakers’ shootaround on Tuesday. Bynum utilized the shootaround time for treatment, including anti inflammatory medicine.

While Bynum hasn’t ever been better on the court, averaging career highs in points (17.9) and rebounds (11.9) per game to go along with 2.0 blocks and the 2nd-best field goal percentage in the league (58.1%), he increasingly has been difficult off it since playing in his 1st All-Star Game in February.

The 7-year veteran mixed his messages Saturday after scoring 17 of his 19 points after halftime in the Lakers’ 88-85 win over the New Orleans Hornets.

Bynum first recounted, “I require some more shots, I think,” when asked regarding his slow start. He then modified his tune and said he got sufficient touches and was only attempting to rack up 10 helps so he was passing more. He finished with 2 assists.

He was later asked a query in relation to Kobe Bryant’s demeanor during timeouts as Bryant struggled thru a 3-for-21 shooting game and Bynum pled ignorance.

Bynum was ejected from a recent game in Houston after picking up his 2nd technical foul and rather than leaving the court quickly slapped hands with followers sitting courtside previous to proceeding to make his exit.

The 7-footer, who missed a mean of 31 games a season because of wounds from 2007 to ‘11, has stayed remarkably healthy this season.

Bynum has played in the Lakers’ past 49 games after sitting out the 1st four games of the season while serving a suspension for the hit he made on J.J. Barea in last year’s Western Conference semifinals towards the Dallas Mavericks.
