The New York Knicks are quite happy that they signed Amar’e Stoudemire over from the Phoenix Suns this season. This power forward has proved golden for the team, and even made a remarkable 34 points in their last win over the Minnesota Timberwolves this last Monday. With this Madison Square Garden win, the Knicks extended their current winning streak to five games. The Timberwolves fought hard, and even held the lead for the first half of the game. Still, the New Yorkers took the home field advantage to win 121-114 after regulation time in the end. Odds.

Already standing strong in second place of the Atlantic Division, the Knicks improved to an impressive 13-9 record. This is the first time the team has been four games over 0.500 since their 2000-01 season, and the second time they have won five in a row this year. Those facts have a lot to do with the team’s shrewd roster of players. Most notable amongst those is the above mentioned Stoudemire. Team leader in various areas, this vital player went for his fifth game with 30 or more points in a row. BY the time the buzzer rang, he had contributed 34 points, 5 rebounds and 3 turnovers. Also working to put the team ahead were Raymond Felton [18 points, 11 assists and 5 turnovers] and Wilson Chandler [21 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists]. With a combined effort, the Knicks were able to take the game in the second half and win the highly competitive match-up by a fair margin. Scores.

Minnesota gave it a fair shot, but fell to a further discouraging 5-16 record nevertheless. While Kevin Love came through with 33 points and 15 rebounds, the defense that has back him up in the past was nowhere to be found. The team held it together well in the first two quarters, but simply fell apart in the second half. Perhaps they will be able to keep the momentum going all the way through in their next game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Still, even if they won, the Timberwolves are still stuck at the bottom of the Northwest Division. See how much they will improve at, home of the best online betting information available.
