NO PLAYER IS WORTH MORE THAN A TEAM

The Minnesota Timberwolves represents a living proof that you need much more than one awesome player to win games. Kevin Love has had an awesome season so far. His game against the Dallas Mavericks was his chance to tie Moses Malone for the longest double-double streak. And as he proved yet again that his value is beyond question, he managed to score 23 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. It was enough for him to get his 51st consecutive double-double (and tie Moses Malone) but it was not enough for his team to finally win one. Vegas odds.

From these 51 games in which Kevin Love had a double-double, the Minnesota Timberwolves managed to win only 11. So while Love can be happy with his personal performance, the Minnesota Timberwolves are still struggling to stay competitive. We are not even talking about the play-offs anymore since that ship has sailed long ago.

“I’d be jumping for joy if we were winning and everybody was playing great, including myself,” Love stated. “I’m just going out there and playing hard and it is just kind of happening for me. But it is kind of an afterthought because we aren’t winning.” Betting lines.

When talking about the game against the Dallas Mavericks, the first thing that comes to mind is Love’s performance, but if you have watched the game, you were able to see why keeping around an experienced man is so advisable. Brian Cardinal helped Dirk Nowitzki outscore the Timberwolves and he proved his worth again.

“Without Cardinal, I don’t think we’d have won the game,” Rick Carlisle, Dallas Mavericks coach, stated. “His activity, rebounds, loose balls, deflections, shot-making completely turned the game around.”

Brian Cardinal has spent his previous two seasons at the Timberwolves, and the fact that he was able to put on such an awesome show and secure the win for the Mavericks will make the Minnesota team feel sorry they ever gave him away.

“It was exciting to be out there playing,” Cardinal stated. “I’ve got a good relationship with quite a few of those guys over there and people within the organization. It was fun to go out there and play and compete against them.” Sports scores.

The Timberwolves are looking something like the Miami Heat right now. Superb players, unimaginable skill, but they still can’t cut it as a team. So if these teams want to do themselves some good, they should look into better ways of using these outstanding players.
