OKC DESTROYS WORN-DOWN GRIZZLIES FOR 3-2 SERIES LEAD
Thu, 12 May 2011 05:02 PM EDT

Kevin Durant’s work was done early. After three quarters. Not three overtimes. The young Oklahoma City legs felt no pain from Monday’s triple-extra-time thriller in Memphis. Basketball lines.

The Oklahoma City Thunder blew out 99-72 the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday and with that victory they got their first series lead in the Western Conference semifinals. This time, it was all over well before the final buzzer as “Durantula” and fellow All-Star Russell Westbrook didn’t even have to play in the final period.

Since 1993, only four teams have won triple overtime playoff games. But on Wednesday, OKC became the first of those teams to win the next game, too. Basketball betting lines.

Marc Gasol posted 16 points to lead Memphis, which ran out of fuel after such a draining loss on their home court in Game 4. The Thunder were off and running Wednesday and the Grizzlies’ legs  couldn’t keep up. OKC took apart Memphis in the transition game in Game 5.

Memphis’s MVP Zach Randolph, who played 56 minutes in the marathon Game 4, was ineffective for Memphis in the Game 5 loss. He ended up with nine points and seven rebounds. He had been averaging 26 points and 14 rebounds in the series. Odds.

The Thunder lead 3-2 heading into Game 6 on Friday night in Memphis.
