PHILLIES SHUT DOWN REDS
Tue, 12 Oct 2010 06:26 PM EDT

The Phillies played a great game on Saturday against the Reds, moving forward in their very successful postseason blitz. The Phillies are two time defending NL champions, and are looking to take it a third time. They have been amazing in the past few months, yielding win after win. They shut the Reds down in a game that ended 2-0 after nine innings to walk off the field with their heads held high. Football betting lines.

The Phillies have overcome all sorts of difficulties this year, delivering victory in the face of uncertainty, and against all odds. This is a team that just doesn’t give up, and that is why so many people love them. Things have been going their way as well in the postseason, with a number of historic games. Halladay pitched the second no hitter in postseason history, aiding the Phillies in trucking along at a brisk pace. Basketball odds.

At the mound Hamels was brilliant, coming through with inning after inning of solid gold. He struck out nine in a five-hitter, while Chase Utley homered to send the Phillies on to a win.  The team is hurtling towards the pennant races with a clear goal in mind. If they can take this championship, they will be the first team in history to claim three in a row. Life has never been better for the Phillies, and with the likes of Utley and Hamels on the team, along with power like Halladay’s, the 2010 Phillies are most definitely a team for the record books. Basketball spreads.

The future is bright as they advance through the postseason. The Philadelphia team needs to keep playing effective baseball so that things will continue to fall into line for them. If they can keep Halladay for the important games, and rely on Hamels and the rest of the bullpen, they should have it in the bag. Be sure and follow up at www.scoresandodds.com.
