The Detroit Pistons will face off against the Toronto Raptors tonight at 7:00 PM ET in the Air Canada Center. The injury plagued Raptors hope to find solace in a weakened Detroit team. Both occupying fourth place of their respective division, there is room for improvement on both sides. Still, Toronto sits in a bit better position than the Pistons. The Canadians are looking for their sixth consecutive win in this game, and had outscored Detroit by 13.2 points during the two team’s five game run. While some might mark this as an easy for win the Pistons, Detroit has accomplished a few feats of its own lately. The Raptors occupy fourth place of the Atlantic Division with a 10-18 record. Their home record  [7-8] is much better than the away [3-10], so it a good thing they will be traveling for this one. However, Toronto still has two major factors working against them. The first is that many of the team’s better players suffer from injuries. Among those hurt are AndreaBargnani [knee, ankle], Sonny Weems [back], Jose Calderon [foot] and Reggie Evans [broken foot]. To say that the Raptors are a bit roughed up is certainly an understatement. The second factor is the effect that key player’s absences have on the game. Detroit is also in the process of adjusting to certain changes. After an embarrassing home loss to the L.A. Clippers, coach John Kuester felt that a few changes were in order. As a surprising result, Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva went from two of the more talented offensive guards in the NBA to starters. These changes asides, the Pistons have still has a terrible season. They currently stand at 9-19 and second to last in the Central Division.
