Roy Halladay the right hander for the Philadelphia Philles will now start in the National League this Tuesday night at the much anticipated All Star game against Jered Weaver of the Los Angeles Angels. The batting order will include Rickie Weeks of Milwaukee as the leading off and also playing second base which is followed by Carlos Beltran of team Mets. Halladay said “It never seems easy, doesn’t seem like it’s pitching dominated,” “It’s always a challenge.”

Weaver has a 1.86 ERA and 11-4 which makes him the fifth pitcher for the Angles to make a start he follows Ken McBride back in 1963, Nolan Ryan and Mark Langston before him.

Weaver said “Having a chance to pitch … against the best players in the world in the National League and be able to share the mound with a guy like Roy Halladay and all of the other pitchers, it’s a very humbling experience,” “I’m definitely looking forward to having my family out here to be able to experience it with me and I’m just looking forward to the experience.”

This is going to be one interesting AL week, but with Halladay just off the DL list it will be interesting how he fairs in the All Star game which many people are anticipating is going to be explosive since it features the best players that the MLB has to offer the world.
