SACRAMENTO KINGS WIN AT ORLANDO MAGIC
Wed, 23 Feb 2011 10:33 AM EST

Dwight Howard had an awesome Wednesday night but his performance was not enough to stop the Sacramento Kings from grabbing a win in Orlando against Magic. Unfortunately, beyond Howard, the Orlando team didn’t look like they were giving it their all. Vegas odds.

The first quarter started with a magnificent Howard, but what could he do alone against a very determined Sacramento team? The Kings were all over the field and it looked like there was only one man on the field that could even challenge them. They quickly outscored their opponents and were good enough to hold on to their lead. The first quarter ended 31-25 and Howard seemed furious.

“We’ve been talking for a long time — all we seem to do is talk,” Dwight Howard stated. “You guys know what the difference is. You watch the games. If guys don’t want to play, they need to sit down. We can’t just have guys or anybody out there not playing hard.

“We’re professional athletes. This is what we do for a living. If you can’t go out there and go hard for two hours, then you shouldn’t be playing.” Betting lines.

Howard was unstoppable in the second quarter and, for a while, it looked like he could win this game on his own. The Orlando Magic managed to take the lead and even hold on to it until the end of the first half. The score was 58-61 and we had an awesome game on our hands.

Orlando continued playing well in the third period and Howard continued to wreak havoc. He was obviously the top performer of the game with 31 points, 17 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Orlando augmented their lead and they were 5 points ahead at the end of the third quarter. The overall score was 79-84.

However, that was about everything they could do. They were practically invisible in the fourth quarter and it looked like Howard’s awesome performance wouldn’t matter at all. The Orlando defense looked like it was made of little kids and the Kings had little else to do but get to the hoop and score.

“Down the stretch it was just terrible,” coach Stan Van Gundy stated. “When we got the lead we had a couple of careless ones and it’s terrible. Sports scores.

“I’m not happy with anything other than Dwight right now. I’m not happy with anything.”

The Kings managed to turn the game around and they won it, 111-105.
