SAINTS WAIT ON BENGALS
Mon, 06 Dec 2010 01:37 PM EST

Come Sunday December 5th, the New Orleans Saints will aim to beat the Cincinnati Bengals. The game is set to kick off at 1:00 PM ET, and will be broadcasted on FOX Regional. While at first this game might seem like an easy prediction, one can see that it is going to be a bit trickier of a match-up when taking a closer look. Both teams should be well rested, as they have not played since their Thanksgiving games on the 25th of November. Still, New Orleans is coming off four wins, and has been looking like the Super Bowl team it was last year. That being said, the Saints are still the favorites coming into this game. Vegas odds.

In the Bengals’ last game against the New York Jets, they were only able to get 163 yards on offense. That fact, coupled with their offensive stats of 92.0 rushing and 237.5 passing, is not too impressive. The team currently sits at the bottom of the AFC South with a dismal 2-9 record. To make matters worse, the 10 points the team achieved in their match-up with the Jets represents the fewest points they have gotten in a game all season. Still, when you look at their recent history, this game might be an opportunity for them. Cincinnati was able to hold the Colts, whose passing game based offense is similar to the Saints, to just 185 yards and no touchdowns. Betting lines. Though the Bengals lost that one, this time around they have the home team advantage. Perhaps this will be what they need to break their 8 game losing streak.

While the Bengals do have that advantage, the Saints are starting to bring back their Super Bowl form. The team currently occupies second place of the NFC South with an 8-3 record. They started their game last week against the Cowboys strong, maintaining the lead all the way through the second half. However, they let it slip in the third, and narrowly regained it in the fourth. In the end, these are the Saints we are talking about. If you know anything about football, you know exactly what the Reggie Bush and the defending Super Bowl champions are capable of.
