Most notably, Smith was on fire. He earned his second straight victory as a starter for the 49ers, throwing a go-ahead 16-yard touchdown pass to Michael Crabtree with 2:10 left in regulation. The Rams were the favorites at the start of things. However, this is football. Anything can happen. To everyone’s surprise, Smith had a golden day. His team will be looking to replicate the results. If he can, they will move forward this season. They never gave up, keeping the pressure on the St. Louis team the entire time. The 49ers were in top form, which allowed them to take a step in the right direction. It will be a good year for them if they can recover and start winning more games.  This was a rough game. The 49ers incurred 14 penalties against them, but they managed to pull through. Basketball spreads.

The Rams are in a tough spot. As the 49ers ruthlessly revealed, the St. Louis team lacks the ability to finish the plays. Bradford went 30 of 42 for 251 yards and a touchdown, while Jackson rushed for 81 yards and a score. The Rams have lost seven straight road games, including all four under their rookie quarterback.
