Thu, 08 Dec 2011 09:28 PM EST

The Long Island Giants marked down safety Kenny Phillips to out when the team asserted he didn’t make the trip to Dallas on Saturday.

Phillips suffered a twisted MCL knee injury during last Sunday’s 38-35 loss to Green Bay. Phillips was listed as dubious for the game on Friday. Vegas odds

Phillips joins several other Giants who are out for Sunday night’s critical NFC East game against the Dallas Cowboys. Starting center David Baas (neck / intense headaches), linebacker Mark Herzlich (ankle), linebacker Spencer Paysinger (hamstring) and defensive end Osi Umenyiora (ankle / knee) are also out and didn’t make the trip to Dallas. Greenhorn safety Tyler Sash is expected to see increased snaps with Phillips out. Phillips has started each game this season and is second on the team in tackles (67) and has two interceptions.

Kevin Boothe will begin at center and Mitch Petrus is expected to make his second begin at left guard with Baas out.
