Standing at the 18th green totally drenched in champagne and holding her beloved trophy after a much long wait she was sporting a huge smile and now there is no doubt that Yeon Ryu is the best player or one of the best in South Korea and so she should be ranked on the top of their roster. Ryu who is just 21 won the US Women’s Open back on Monday first with a great birdie on No.18 which tied her to her rival Hee Kyung Seo and then with a great short over a three hole playoff she beat Seo by just three shots. This is the latest story about  a young woman in South Korea where winning a sport or a huge win in a series such as this makes her a star back at home such as icons like Se Ri Park who is a legend at just 33. Football lines

Ryu said “When I was started golf, Se Ri Pak won the U.S. Women’s Open tournament, so this tournament is really special for me,”

Starting at the 16th hole the great Ryu managed to play the three hole playoff in just 2 under par which all but managed to seal it for her in the three perfect shots into the green on the par-5 17th which made the putt for the birdie which she drove into a bunker and then had to scramble for a bogey. Just in case to be on the safe side Ryu hit her approach on the 18th to four feet for yet another birdie which then triggered a huge champagne spraying event on the 18th green. One of the women among the ranks was Pak who ran out to douse her country woman in Champagne wearing a glow in the dark shirt and cap. Football betting lines

Say whatever you want but it was the birdie which Ryu made at the 18 which was just an hour earlier which was the winning score for her.

Cristie Kerr said after the match “It’s never over ’til it’s over, especially in these things,”  “People really want it, and that was a gutsy putt.” And this is what everyone was treated to in the end.
