The Steelers took the Panthers on Thursday, using a great display of offensive power to demolish them. It was a superb outing for the team, who is working towards getting ready for the rest of the season. The game ended 19-3 without going into over time. Odds.

The Steelers are a fantastic football team. They have played outstanding football since the teams creation, and always deliver ravishing results. However, the Pittsburgh team may have big problems, as it looks like two of their most important players will be out for quite some time. While Ben Roethlisberger is out for at least a month, replacement Byron Leftwich may be out indefinitely. He sprained his knee in the second quarter. Apparently the injury was so bad that no one was even allowed to talk to Leftwich. Dennis Dixon will most likely be taking over his spot.

The game was pretty solid. The Panthers were not playing any of their starters, a move which sees to be pretty common this time of year and preseason. In an effort to keep the key players fresh for the start of the regular season, the games this week have basically been all backups. Scores.

The Steelers are in quite a predicament. Roethlisberger will meet Friday with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to learn if his suspension for off-field behavior will be reduced to four games, as expected, or stay at six games. If he stays out, then Dixon, who has started only one NFL game, will be their best hope. Las Vegas Odds.

Coming in after Leftwich, Dixon got smashed, and completed his only pass for a 23-yard touchdown to rookie Emmanuel Sanders. The game progressed forward in a smooth manner. The Panthers basically folded under the Pittsburgh team, but self-preservation is the name of the game. Be sure and follow all the best sports betting data at
