While the Chicago Bears have a guaranteed spot in the playoffs and a first round bye, the Green Bay Packers have everything at steak. The two will face off in the Lambeau Field of Wisconsin this Sunday, January 2nd, providing the nation with an intriguing NFC North showdown. Going into this game, Green Bay is aiming for a win and a postseason berth. The first place Bears are simply looking to build as strong as a foundation as they can before jumping into the playoffs. So far, Chicago has sealed its third NFC North title in six seasons with an 11-4 record. A win over the Packers would bring eliminating their biggest threat to finish the 6-0 in the division. Sporting talented players such as Jay Cutler, who has netted a 104.2 QB rating and completed 60.7% of his passes for 1,042 yards, 11 TDs and 4 INTs over his last five games, and Matt Forte, who averages 5.7 yards per carry in the last five games and is 22 away from 1,000 yards for the first time since 2008,  Chicago certainly has a shot at adding another victory to their record at Lambeau. If the Packers lose this one, they will need the Giants to lose to the Redskins and the Saints to take the Buccaneers in order to win the three-way tiebreaker at 9-7. The stunning QB Aaron Rodgers said, “A lot of things have happened both positively and negatively that we might not have expected, but we go into the last game of the season with a chance to make the playoffs with a win and that’s all we can ask for right now.” While the team would prefer to take the shorter rout of winning this one, we’ll have to watch and see what happens.
