SUNS OUTSHINE WARRIORS
Mon, 06 Dec 2010 01:40 PM EST

It was quite the performance yesterday as Jason Richardson and the Phoenix Suns faced the Golden State Warriors in Oakland. Having played for the Warriors for six years, Richardson felt at home and ready to prove himself. That he did. He helped his team not only take the game, but also achieve many personal records as well. The Warriors gave it their best shot, but in the end, the lethal duet of Hill and Richardson is what dominated. It all came to an end at a close 107-101 after regulation time. Basketball spreads.

With this win, Phoenix remained in second place of the Pacific Division, while improving to a 9-9 record. The team as a whole seems to have learned how to work together. After trading Amar’e Stoudemire to the New York Knicks, Nash had a bit of trouble adjusting to playing without him. Luckily, that is no longer the case. These players have found their groove, and worked in well on Thursday. Richardson gave a team-high 25 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists, while Hill was good for 24 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist.  Basketball scores. Combined, these two players shot 73% [19 of 26] from the field last night. Nash impressed everyone with his 13 points and for matching his season-high 16 assists. Channing Frye also stood out with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks to net his tenth straight double figure game and his first double-double of the season. Coach Alvin Gentry is even considering to continue letting Frye start, as he was merely a replacement for Robin Lopez’s absence. It was an overall victory for the Suns, not only in the final score, but in records as well.

This game marks the 9th time that the Suns have beaten the Warriors in 11 meetings. Even though player of the game Monta Ellis was good for 30 points for the fourth time this season, and Dorell Wirght came through with 10 points and a season-high 10 rebounds, it was not enough. Perhaps next tie the Golden State will be able to bring an end to their losing streak. Basketball odds. See if they do at www.scoresandodds.com, home the best online betting information.
