THE SUPERNATURAL SPURS

The nation better watch out for the San Antonio Spurs. They are simply on fire! San Antonio handed the Golden State Warriors their second loss; the California team just couldn’t keep up. Tim Duncan, whose triple double kept the Spurs 8-0 on the road, was the real star of this match.  Shooting 6 of 15 from the floor, he led the ruthless assault on the opposition. As coach Gregg Popovich put it, “He’s been the heart and soul of our program for a long time. He’s Tim Duncan, that’s what he does. He’s where it all begins.” Already sitting atop the Southwest Division, the Spurs brought the game to an end at 118-98 after regulation time. Betting lines.

San Antonio stands tall with a remarkable 15-2 record, making for a good position to head into the playoffs. The team shone through with an impressive performance from PF Tim Duncan. The three statistical categories in which he produced double digits were points [15], rebounds, [18] and assists [11]. He was also good for 2 turnovers, 2 blocks and working with his teammates like the champion he is. Duncan did not hog the ball, but passed to a number of players instead. Sports scores. He worked with George Hill, who gave 12 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists, among others. Other players that delivered well were Manu Ginobili [27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals] and Tony Parker [12 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists]. Many Spurs seem to have been on fire over the last couple of weeks, and the team is doing a good job of going with it. It is definitely paying off, as this victory marks San Antonio’s ninth straight win against the Golden State. Vegas odds.

With this loss pushing them down to 8-10, the Warriors remain in the same place within the Pacific Division.  Golden State simply failed to bring their all to the court during this game, which was reflected in the team’s 16 TO and getting outrebounded 50-44. Perhaps they come better prepared next time to beat San Antonio for the first time since January of 2008.
