The US Open is just around the corner, and the biggest names in tennis will be jockeying for position and placement. The tennis world has seen the recent fall of former number one Roger Federer, and the rise of Rafael Nadal after a year of injuries took him out of the game. Things are back on track now, as the two tennis giants will be present in the US Open.

As it stands, Nadal, who won the French Open and Wimbledon this year, is seeded first at the U.S. Open for the second time in three years. His rival, Roger Federer, is seeded second on the list of great tennis players. He has improved greatly since he was bested at Wimbledon in an anti-climactic fashion by the world’s #82. Nadal is looking to complete the career Grand Slam, something that Federer has done already. The competition between them is sure to be fierce; the world will be on the edge of their seats. Federer has had problems in his games in recent months, and Nadal has never made the semi-finals of this tournament. As such, both players face their own challenges.

Nadal has been training harder than ever, and is on the top of his game. Though he has taken a few serious titles this year, the rest of the tennis world is playing just as well as him, and are pushing to move him out of the top spot. Roger Federer is possibly his biggest threat. The former world No. 1 has taken the tournament many times, and has one of the best records in the sports history. Baseball Lines
