TIGER IS HAPPY, BUT THE NUMBERS ARE NOT
Fri, 16 Jul 2010 12:07 PM EDT

We all know who Tiger Woods is, if you play golf, and haven’t been living under a rock for the past 15 years, you will surely have heard his name mentioned at least once. He holds an amazing record as one of the greatest players of all time, and continues to perform even today.

Amidst all the controversy regarding his personal life, Tiger Woods is back on the turf, and producing numbers that any golfer would be proud of.  The problem is, Tiger is not your ordinary golfer, and the British Open is not your ordinary tournament.

His opening performance left him with a huge smile on his face, but the fact is that he could have done much better. The Tiger Woods we see these days is a mere shadow of his former self. The king of golf has been fading as of late, with new challengers chasing his crown.

The legendary course in Scotland, at St. Andrews is what many call the toughest course in the world.  Tiger pulled a solid 5-under-67, but many golf critics have come down hard on him. John “Train Wreck” Daly shot a 66, and the world is holding off with any celebration of a victory for Tiger.

The rest of the tournament will prove to be difficult, the best names in Golf are looking to take the legendary course by storm and add the title to their name. Mickelson is vying for the win to round off his career in a nice way. Tiger has one title already; will he be able to muster up another victory?

The only thing that is certain is that Tiger woods is back, and he should improve over the next couple days, he will have to if he hopes to overtake the competition. Check out all the latest and greatest sports information at www.scoresandodds.com
