TRAVIS PASTRANA HAS FRACTURED HIS ANKLE AND FOOT
Fri, 29 Jul 2011 04:51 PM EDT

The famous sports star Travis Pastrana has crashed on a back to back “TP Roll” in attempts he made on Thursday night in the X Games 17 Moto X Best Trick which has ended the Pastranathon during the initial event. Pastrana was seen being taken away on a stretcher and transported to a nearby hospital where x-rays of his broken right foot and ankle were seen according to the medical personal there. He was later discharged from the hospital on Thursday night, experts imply that he will need surgery later on. Pastrana had also planned a NASCAR debut later on Saturday which will need to be put off but for now he is also out of the X Games. NFL scores

Speaking to ESPN Pastrana said “I am sorry this happened and will be back in action as soon as I can. I look forward to Pastranathon 2012 at X Games 18,”

Heading into the famous X Games he had originally planned to go ahead and compete in the Best Trick and the freestyle later on Thursday and then on Friday, from there he planned to fly over to Indianapolis in order to make his NASCAR Nationwide debut from there he would have returned to Los Angeles in order to compete in the Rally Cross on Saturday. This will be the first X Games 17 event since back in 2002 that Pastrana will be out of owing to a medial issue. NFL odds

Pastrana had crashed when he was trying to do a corked 720 which originally made him a fan favorite as well as won him the gold medal for best trick. Each rider usually gets one shot for each round at getting tricks but Pastrana got to try the 720 twice after he got himself to rotate the first time. His second attempt also ended in a similar fashion and he immediately was seen grabbing his lower leg as the medical staff rushed over to his side near the landing ramp. NFL spreads

Trainer Todd Jacobs had said that Pastrana will need to have surgery in Maryland on his foot and ankle.

Jacobs said “No on is more disappointed than Travis,” “He feels like he let everyone down and hopes everyone knows how hard he worked for this.”
