Vanderbilt has done a great job at beating North Carolina but now they are faced with a really though job. The Commodores managed to extend their first ever appearance at the College World Series with a great 5-1 win margin over North Carolina yesterday night. Now as a reward they get to face their southeastern conference rival Florida which has a record of already beating them four of the five times they have bet this season. NFL spreads
Connor Harrel said “We’re not thinking, ‘How the heck can we beat Florida?’ It’s not really in the back of our minds at all,” “We feel we can compete with them. We feel we match up with them well, but we’ll see what happens on Friday. We’re going to come in confident.”
As well they should after their second CWS win over North Carolina.
Both Corey Williams and Taylor hill put their forces together on a four hitter and Curt Casali as well as Harrell homered for the Commodores who were leading 5-0 in the third innings. Vanderbilt lost 3-1 on Tuesday to Florida would now need to beat the Gators come this Friday and then again when they face on Saturday in order to reach their best of three finals. Odds
Tim Corbin the coach for Vanderbilit said “He did a good job of neutralizing their offense and got us deep into the ball game where we could put Corey in,” “Connor’s home run was big and followed up by Curtis. We did enough offensively to get by.”
Holt is an eighth rounder and is someone who is making his second start of the season and lasted 2 2/3 innings. He just gave up five runs and around four hits which left Casali to homer. North Carolina then left nine of their runners on base for the second straight time and stranded a good 34 in the three CWS games. Basketball odds
Mike Fox the coach for Carolina said “That’s probably what will be written about,” “We left a lot of people on base out here for three games, but a lot of that has to do with the other team, and we were facing some pretty good arms. It didn’t happen for us.”
Fox said “You’re down four and you have the bases loaded and you’re thinking to yourself one swing of the bat, ball in the gap and we’re right back in the game and we get the momentum in our dugout,” “They were in that situation several times while we were out here, and it just didn’t happen for us.”
