WILL PITTSBURGH STEAL THE GAME?

The Carolina Panthers will travel to Pensylvannia tomorrow to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. The game will take place at the Heinz Field, with kickoff at 8:20 PM ET. Having taken control of the AFC North with victories over the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens, this game will merely be a chance to wrap up a first-round bye. While the Steelers are on good ground, so are the Bengals. They are coming off their best defensive performance of the season, and are aiming for a positive end to a dismal season. The Steelers stand confidently with a 10-4 record and tied in first place of the AFC North with the Baltimore Ravens. Pittsburgh also has the advantage of leading the series 3-1 over the last five meetings. They are 2-0 against them at home as well. This team stands in a good spot, but they also have a number of things working against them. Their main issue is the fact that they are without a couple of key players. Arnaz Battle [bruised chest], Troy Polamalu [ankle] and Steve McLendon [shoulder] are all questionable for week 16 and this particular game. Heath Miller is probable to play, but will have to be careful after suffering a nasty concussion in his game against the N.Y.

Jets on Sunday. Still, the Steelers have not blown a division lead in the last month of the season in twenty years. With the league’s best run defense and players that love a challenge on hand, Pittsburgh has a good chance at taking the division lead. Scores.

The Panthers are in a downright embarrassing record of 2-12 at the bottom of the NFC South. You can expect Carolina to run the ball every chance they get, but I don’t know if that is going to do much. Rookie QB Jimmy Clausen, who has the NFL’s worst passer rating, is not helping their chances much. Still, the Panthers will play this one for pride.
