Werth, Feliz hit back-to-back homers in Phils' win
PHILADELPHIA 6, WASHINGTON 5

WASHINGTON(AP) -- Jayson Werth and Pedro Feliz hit back-to-back
homers in the eighth inning, leading the Philadelphia Phillies
to a 6-5 win against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday
night.

Ryan Madson pitched the ninth in place of struggling closer Brad
Lidge, earning his sixth save in 11 chances as Philadelphia beat
the Nationals for the ninth straight time. Cliff Lee (6-2)
pitched seven-plus innings to get the win, allowing five runs
and 10 hits.

Werth's leadoff drive on a 3-1 pitch from Tyler Clippard (2-2)
gave the Phillies a 5-4 lead. It was his second in two games and
No. 33 on the year.

Feliz followed with his 10th of the season, a shot that landed
in the left-field seats beyond Philadelphia's bullpen.
