SANTA CLARA 74, SAINT LOUIS 62

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Kevin Foster scored 30 points to break Kurt
Rambis' Santa Clara's career scoring record, leading the Broncos
to a 74-62 victory over Saint Louis on Wednesday night.

Foster also had seven steals and five assists for the Broncos
(2-0). He was 10 of 18 from the field with a pair of 3-pointers,
and 8 for 9 from the free-throw line. Foster has 1,748 points,

at Santa Clara from 1976-80.

Marc Trasolini, who missed last season with a knee injury, had
nine points and 10 rebounds for the Broncos.

The game was part of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic.

Rob Loe led Saint Louis (1-1) with 13 points. Cody Ellis had 11
points for the Billikens, who beat South Carolina-Upstate in
their opener Friday night.

The Billikens led in the game's first minute on Wednesday but
Santa Clara led 44-31 at halftime behind Foster's 17 points.
