Sports Scores

As a slave to sport I have been sentenced to a life of following the sports scores from around the world. This to some might be a little tedious, but for me it is a labor of love. My fascination with sporting statistics goes right back to when my father used to study the results of various matches to help him make his predictions for his gambling. I would sit and digest the results of soccer games from around the world to help me understand him a little more and also feel as if I was in some way assisting him.

I now follow so many sports scores that I am the source of all knowledge for my local quiz team, which in some ways is a compliment, but also probably makes me quite dull! However, that matters not to me, I gain great pleasure from it all. Knowledge is power to some and I certainly use my appreciation of the sports scores from one week, to help me predict them for the next.

The league tables are also a means of keeping me quiet for periods of time and the sports scores can often find me calculating the revised tables myself in advance of the official releases. In whatever sport, the results bring points and it is those which ultimately decide the eventual champions of each individual division. A very good accompanying site is, which is a scores and odds website with some excellent statistical data, which can be very useful when trying to make predictions.

With the total domination nowadays of all things sporting by the TV companies, it has opened up another very lucrative opportunity for sports scores tipping, with the introduction of 'live scores' in matches. This is an excellent option for sports fans who love a flutter, as they can bet 'in play'. Once again information extracted from can be beneficial, as the sports scores fluctuate. We are all armchair experts, and now the betting sites are giving everybody the chance to prove it. During many live televised sporting contests it is possible to make a prediction 'in play' which is a fabulous advancement.

There are so many times in the past when I have met up with friends and talk inevitably comes around to sport. So often somebody would make reference to a game they have seen on TV and proclaim 'they knew so and so would score', or 'they were confident the result would be this or that', after just a few minutes viewing. As if by magic, here now is their big chance to take the bookmakers to the cleaners with their 'expertise'. Strange that the sports scores now suddenly seem more tricky to predict!

Tennis is another excellent sport for making 'in play' bets on live scores. The speed of the games makes it a sport that can win or lose you lots of money in a short space of time, as this particular sports scores change every few minutes. It is possible to bet on what the individual set scores will end up at. Undoubtedly the most popular sport for this line of gambling is soccer; as someone with a reasonable grasp of the game can probably see the way a game is developing fairly quickly and if the online bookmakers are offering attractive betting lines, they can get their bets on rapid, before the sports scores change.

I mention this from personal experience as I have become hooked on the live games from across the globe. My weekend will see my following as many live games as I possible can and interacting through my computer, by constantly placing bets throughout the matches. Before each contest I pay my regular visit to to gen up on the teams and then settle down to watch. Well that's not entirely true, as I rarely settle. The sports scores in soccer can be very low, in some games there aren't any at all; but this is the beauty of 'in play' betting, because if you're confident enough you can put money on it remaining goalless, although the betting lines for that in those circumstances wouldn't be particularly enticing.

I also spend a lot of time following the futures markets, as predicting the sports scores in these, especially those well in advance, can offer very favorable betting lines. The champions of various divisions across wide variety of sports, is something I gain great satisfaction in attempting to predict and because anything can happen, the mark ups are usually pretty generous. This is where it is necessary to take into account previous form, changes in personnel, etc. The information available at can prove very important in making the selections.

The sports scores are basically what sport is all about, so if you are serious in any way then you have to be clued up on them. Trends are key, no matter what the sport, but again those in soccer seem to have a huge influence on subsequent results. The stronger the league the more vital it is in spotting the trends. The big 3 Leagues, that is the English Premiership, the Italian Serie A and the Spanish La Liga contain all the biggest clubs, not only in Europe, but throughout the world and the slightest piece of information can be the difference between Champions and runners up.
