The Stars Group, known for market dominance in the online poker industry, signed a sports betting agreement with FOX in May 2019. The partnership was a game-changer within the industry,  pairing a world class gaming operator with one of the largest names in sports media. The Stars Group’s sports betting platform, BetStars, was promptly rebranded to FOX Bet and has enjoyed success in its markets of operation since.

This page is your complete overview of FOX Bet. Learn how to sign up, how to make bets, cash out wins, and more. Read on for more info on all topics, including our FOX Bet promo code.

FOX Bet Promo Code

FOX Bet offers the same welcome package in each state, which comes in two separate parts. Notably, you don’t need a FOX Bet promo code to access either.

$500 Risk Free Bet

After creating your FOX Bet account, your first wager is risk free. Simply find a bet with odds no longer than -200 and if it comes out as a winner, you will be paid out as usual and nothing else happens. If that bet comes out as a loss, no worries, FOX Bet will match the full amount of that bet, up to $500, in the form of a free bet.

The risk free bet needs to be placed within 30 days of being verified as a real money player. All bonus refunds will be awarded within 24 hours, and bettors will have an additional 7 days to use that free bet, or it disappears.

  • $500 Risk-Free Bet
  • No Code Needed

Here we’ll breakdown the entire account creation process with FOX Bet. Much of it is self-explanatory, but regardless we’ve got you covered with step-by-step instructions and visual aids.

Real money forms 2 and 3 will have you confirm your address, and set up account security questions. Agree to the terms of service on the 4th page, and you’re all set.

You don’t have to enter an exclusive promo code to earn the $20 in free cash. You don’t have to wait for it either. Immediately after creating your account you’ll see it waiting in your account’s cashier. As mentioned above, it expires after a month so don’t wait too long to use it!

Depositing on FOX Bet

For those looking to fund their account and take advantage of the $100 deposit match bonus, there’s plenty of choice available. There is some variety from state to state, but you can generally expect to see many of these popular banking methods:

While not all of these options are available for both deposit, and withdrawals, with FOX Bet you’ve always got access to your online cash. In person transactions are also permitted at participating retail casinos.

Place A Bet with Fox Bet

Alright, so you’ve got your account, you’ve deposited it’s time to make a bet. First of all, if you’re not physically located in a state with legal sports betting, then you’re not eligible to submit a wager. You can browse the lines and odds from anywhere, but you must be in a legal market to bet. Prospective bettors will be required to install a geolocation plugin, or use the GPS chip in their mobile device to confirm this. Check the table below to see where FOX Bet is currently active.

The FOX Bet sportsbook homepage has a wealth of information including details on both trending, and boosted bets. Events can be sorted as either upcoming or in-game – or you can simply select the sport you’re looking for from the menu along the top of the page. As is typical for most books, for each game they’ll show you the spread, moneyline, and points total. If you’re in the mood for something more specific, it will list the number of additional wagers available just below the others.

Click the bet you want, and it’ll be automatically added to your bet slip. If you want to stop there, enter your desired stake and push the “Place Bet” button below. Those looking to up the odds can easily add more bets to create multi-wager parlays.

State to State Details

In the post-PASPA world, each state is now able to independently pursue sports betting under its own terms. While operators may strive to create consistency in their products, sometimes state legislation can cause minor differences to arise in each market. While details like tax rates and licenses fees are always different, we’ll focus here on bettor-specific items that could potentially impact your experience, or the wagers you can make.

New Jersey

In New Jersey you’re not currently allowed to bet on any sort of collegiate sporting event that either takes place within, or where one of the teams is based in the state. For example, you can’t bet on Rutgers sports in any capacity since they’re a NJ college. Similarly, if there’s a major college tournament being hosted in NJ, or a bowl game at MetLife stadium, it’s unfortunately not available to bet on.

Unlike New Jersey, the only restriction in Pennsylvania regarding college sports relates to individual player props. Another notable exception in PA has to do with non-athletic events, which sportsbooks aren’t able to offer. If the bet isn’t directly related to an athlete, it’s out. No wagers on the Oscars, length of the national anthem, etc. Fortunately coin flips, since they’re called by a participating athlete, are fair game.

Colorado is a pretty wide open sports betting market. You can make a lot of different bets, on a lot of different sports and events. FOX Bet is partnered in the state with the Lady Luck Casino in Black Hawk.

FOX Bet and The Stars Group launched all three of its iGaming platforms in the state of Michigan on January 29, 2021. This includes FOX Bet (sports), PokerStars Casino (casino), and PokerStars (poker). FOX is available in the state through a partnership agreement with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, and their affiliated Odawa Casinos.

Betting With a Browser vs. Mobile App

FOX Bet offers a solid mobile experience in each state. Optimized for the small-screen, its app maintains the same structure and theme that you’ll find on its browser-based book. If you know one, you’ll feel right at home with the other. Both use a bar along the top of the screen for navigation, which includes available betting markets. Just below the top bar there are separate tabs for ‘Popular’, ‘Promotions’, and ‘Results’, that you can easily bounce back and forth between.

When using a browser, after you select the bet of your choosing you’ll see it pop up on the right side of your screen on your bet slip. However, there’s a slight difference on mobile devices. Within the app, after selecting a wager you’ll see a blue ticket in the top right corner highlight with a little red number next to it. In order to actually view the bet slip you need to click on the illuminated ticket.

Overall, it’s a useful mobile app that allows bettors to conduct all of their wagers, casino included, efficiently from one place.

What FOX Bet promo code should I use?

There actually isn’t a unique FOX Bet promo code for this bonus. The only thing you need to do is use our sign up link here.

Is FOX Bet legal?

Fox Bet is 100% legal and licensed to operate in all of the state’s referenced in the table above. You can fund your account and make wagers with complete confidence.

Does FOX Bet offer online poker?

While poker isn’t offered under the FOX Bet name, through its partnership with the Stars Group and PokerStars, it’s not far away. State’s like NJ and PA have licensed online poker and sports betting, though that’s not the case everywhere as they are typically regulated separately.

What efforts has FOX Bet made to promote safe gambling?

When it comes to responsible gaming, FOX Bet seems to go above and beyond to make sure their bettors are cared for. At the bottom of the sportsbook homepage there’s an entire section of the footer devoted to it. Plus, every time you log out of your account you’ll receive a pop up message offering assistance for those in need.
