Free MLB Player Props Picks For Monday

Alex Cobb is projected to strike out six Diamondback hitters today, at better than even money odds, this is a very easy bet for me to put down. Arizona strikes out well above the league average.  While Cobb was pitching in Baltimore, he was a pitcher that hovered around the 15% K rate, but in his last two seasons between the Giants and Angels, he is just shy of a 25% rate. That is not a small difference. 

His last time out was against this very same Arizona team, where he only struck-out three hitters, but he did give up seven hits and four runs. With this game being in San Francisco, in one of the best pitcher-friendly parks in baseball, Cobb should succeed this time around.  

I will not be passing on this game and I really think that if you want to root for some bats tonight, then your first stop should be the Padres in Coors Field against Jose Urena. Usually, I like to bet on the over-bases props, but today, I decided to go with the over hits prop. Jose Urena has an abysmal strikeout rate of under 10%. 

The Padres have an implied run total of over 6.5 and will be hitting the ball all over Coors Field. One thing that Coors does is increase BABIP for hitters. It also suppresses strikeouts, which really isn’t necessary, but when the Padres knock Urena out of this game, it will help against the bullpen. I will also be making smaller wagers on both Grisham and Cronenworth’s home run props.
