Free MLB Player Props Picks For Today

This is a don’t overthink it spot for me. I wouldn’t mind wagering a little more than your normal prop bet on this. Giolito has had an up-and-down season in terms of strikeouts, but this matchup is too soft for me to pass up.

Giolito is at 27.3% K rate this season which is in line with his numbers from last season.  The Tigers strikeout at the 8th highest rate in all of baseball and I expect by the end of the season they will be even closer to the top of that list.

Giolito should have ample opportunity for strikeouts and shouldn’t run into much trouble in terms of pitch count. Make sure to shop this line. I have seen it juiced all the way to -140 which is obviously not as enticing.

I always like to attack Erick Fedde. He has a strikeout rate of under 20% and the close to double digit walks can lead to shorter outings and big innings against him.

He continues to have an unsustainable HR/FB ratio and I am not going to stop attacking him just because he has been able to skate by in a few starts this season.

Olson and Acuna should have many chances to win these bets, despite the higher juice than we like to pay, both will be on my betting card. Fedde’s hard it hit percentage allowed has one up each of the last three seasons and I don’t think that trend ends tonight against the Braves.

The odds on Rojas and Thomas are too enticing for me to pass up. They should be batting in the 1st and 2nd spots in the order respectively. Chad Kuhl hard hits allowed are at an all time high and he also lost his ground ball lean.

Hard hits and fly balls sound like extra bases to me. At almost 1-2 odds, this a no brainer.

This is the type of spot where you can throw a part of your bet on the total bases and throw it in a home run.  I expect that the Diamondbacks could hit a couple off him tonight before he gets pulled. The Diamondbacks do rank 11th in total home runs this year.  Thomas is at +500 and Rojas are at +600 if you want to go that route.
