Happy Monday everyone! Throughout the week, I will be giving out a few of my favorite MLB prop bets that you can find for free right here at ScoresAndOdds.

Free MLB Props Picks & Parlays For Monday

This will be the third time facing Cleveland for Sonny Gray.  He has gone 8.1 innings and has struck-out twelve Guardians in those starts. In one of those games, Gray fanned eight Cleveland batters in just 4.1 innings, which I would consider a complete outlier performance on both sides.

The Cleveland strikeout rate is the lowest in all of baseball, striking out at only a 18.5% rate. Gray’s swinging-strike rate (9.9%) is at the lowest percentage since 2016.  Gray also has a slightly shorter leash, only getting over 90 pitches once this season. This only makes it harder for him to be efficient enough to get over this total. I feel confident that he won’t exceed four strikeouts today, and at even money, I won’t pass up this bet.   

Turner is in the best spot of the night and it makes sense to get exposure to him on the betting board. He gets to face a low-strikeout, right-handed pitcher in Chad Kuhl, which only adds to his stolen-base equity. he is one of the best overall hitters in all of baseball projected to hit leadoff in Coors Field.  Depending on your risk tolerance, you could go a half unit on that stolen base prop and up to a full unit on the total bases prop. 

You can make the argument that outcomes are baked into the lines that books create, and that may be correct, but I still want my money on the best plays, even if there might not be value. Turner is an all-around great hitter and should be on base multiple times this evening. 

Cruz, a five-tool prospect, hit nine home runs in 247 at bats at Triple-A Indianapolis this season. It is hard to predict when anyone will hit a homer, let alone a rookie, who we have seen very little of at the big-league level. That being said, I think that the odds and matchup are good enough to make a speculative wager on. 

Cruz is projected to hit leadoff on the road, so he should get five at bats. Fedde is a low-strikeout pitcher, who has allowed 42% hard hit rate this season. Cruz should see plenty of pitches to hit in this game, and if gets the barrel on one, I like the prospects of a healthy pay off. 

It’s worth noting that Cruz’s over .5 total bases prop is a good play, but you have to lay -190 on DraftKings. If that is something you are more comfortable with, go for it. You could take some of your stake on the over of the total bases prop and put it on the home run prop, if you don’t want to miss out on Cruz’s first Major League homer.
