Happy Friday everyone! Throughout the week, I will be giving out a few of my favorite MLB prop bets that you can find for free right here at ScoresAndOdds.Make sure to find the best lines at your favorite legal sportsbook. 

Free MLB Player Props Picks For Friday

The Braves are one of the best teams in all of baseball from top to bottom, which might sound daunting when considering taking the over strikeouts against them in the prop market. However, Robbie Ray has some of the best strikeout stuff in the game. He has gone over this total in five of his last six games. Six projected batters for the Braves strikeout above 20% of the time and as electric as this team is offensively the bottom half of this lineup is strikeout prone. Ray’s leash is very long if he has his good stuff working, so there are no concerns with him getting the early hook.  

Lucas Giolito has been terribly inconsistent this season so I understand the concern with this wager. That being said, I am going to take the plunge and hope that we get good Giolito today.  If he can keep his command in good order then the strikeouts will come in this matchup. Although there are a few players in this projected lineup with small sample sizes, this is a very weak strikeout heavy Athletic’s team. Even proven MLB hitters like Laureano, Murphy, and Brown all strikeout at over 20% of the team. Once Giolito gets through the first four hitters he will be facing a plethora of very young unproven rookies that have shown a propensity to strikeout so far in their MLB careers.  

Home Run Props

The Diamondbacks will be where I am looking for in the home run prop market. I’m interested in lefties that hit fly balls. That immediately leads me to Daulton Varsho at +390 on FanDuel Sportsbook. He has the perfect skill set for this matchup and is a very underrated hitter. Next up for Arizona is Corbin Carroll +470 on FanDuel. Carroll is one of the top prospects in all of baseball and thus far has not disappointed as a stud hitter. Next season you won’t be getting him at this kind of price at Coors Field. Let’s try to be early on him tonight and hope it pays off.  

The following home run picks have obvious risk, but for my money, I am not going to pass up on the odds of these talented young hitters. Adley Rutschman and Ryan Mountcastle are both +700 at Caesars Sportsbook. 

Brayan Bello has yet to give up a home run in his major league career, and while that is impressive in 32 major league innings, it doesn’t mean that streak will last forever. Mountcastle does have a tendency to strike out but he also has a 42% hard hit rate against right handed pitchers. Rutschman has a .234 ISO against right handed pitchers and is another type of player that we won’t be seeing at these types of odds next season.
